Global Infusion Group appoints Tim Young as Managing Director
Event, catering and brand logistics specialist Global Infusion Group has appointed Tim Young as its new managing director.

Team GIG was on-hand to deliver crew catering for Shell’s Make The Future Live event for the second year in succession. GIG was onsite from 21st June – 10th July working for creative event agency Imagination, who were firmly in the driving seat when it came to organising the five day event.
With almost 9,000 meals delivered in total during the event, the number of dishes served fluctuated between 64 at their lowest and an impressive 1169 at their peak.
Having built up a great rapport with Imagination’s crew onsite, team GIG did what they do best and ensured that were well looked after. This included delivering breakfast rolls on Monday mornings to the event office with the option of smashed avocado and tomato on rye bread for those looking for a healthier option. It was a beautiful hot summer so team GIG installed a soft-serve ice cream station with delicious toppings that they could help themselves to. That and a small paddling pool stationed in the back of house area helped to keep them cool and refreshed.
One of the Imagination team members had recently got married and had wanted a cheese wedding cake but went the traditional route in the end, so GIG presented her with one for her birthday.
Shell’s Make The Future Live event moved to Mercedes-Benz World in 2019 and took place from 1st -5th July. The festival encompassed the Shell Eco-marathon Mileage Challenge and the Drivers’ World Championship whilst showcasing award-winning low carbon businesses from Shell’s Springboard and Livewire entrepreneur competitions. It also featured the inaugural Energy Summit, where Shell CEO Ben van Beurden set out how he believes coalitions of businesses can take action today to help decarbonise the global economy.
